현대에 들어, 예술을 다양화되고, 사람들은 각자만의 예술세계를 추구하려는 듯 보인다. 그렇다면 과연 타인의 예술 세계를 쉽게 이해할 수 있을까. 한 개인이 가진 예술세계와 정신을 건축으로 드러내고자 한다. 건축주의 예술세계의 주축을 이루는 Overlap을 여러 매스를 겹치고 회전하고, 높이를 달리하여 매스 간의 중첩을 표현해 그의 예술세계를 또다른 감각으로 자아낸다.
In modern times, art has diversified, and it seems that people are pursuing their own artistic worlds. Then, can we truly understand others’ artistic worlds easily? One individual’s artistic world and spirit aim to be expressed through architecture. By overlapping several masses, rotating them, and varying their heights, the overlap that constitutes the core of the architect’s artistic world is expressed, making his artistic world resonate in another sense.
Concept
건축주이자 예술가인 우제길 빛 예술가는 그의 많은 작품에서 Overlap을 활용해 빛과 색을 그림에 녹인다. 본 프로젝트에서는 그의 주 컨셉인 Overlap을 차용해, 매스의 중첩을 통해 풀어내고, 이를 다양한 방식으로 향유할 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 한다.
또한 외부인의 출입이 자유로운, 도로와 인접한 매스는 미팅홀 등 Public한 공간으로 구성했다, 도로와 멀리 떨어질수록, 거실, 개인 작업실, 침실 등 부부만의 공간과 개인적인 공간을 배치하였다.
Architect and artist Woo Je-gil, a light artist, integrates light and color into his paintings by utilizing overlap in many of his works. In this project, we aim to borrow his main concept of overlap, to unfold it through the layering of masses, and to create a space that can be enjoyed in various ways.
In addition, the mass adjacent to the road, where outsiders can freely enter, was composed of public spaces such as a meeting hall, and the farther away from the road, the more private spaces such as a living room, personal study, and bedroom were placed for the couple.
